


Robert Petty is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Clearwater Capital Partners and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Asian distressed investing – with extensive experience in turnarounds and restructurings – has been the predominant focus of Mr. Petty’s 25 year career. Based in New York, Mr. Petty's principal responsibilities encompass portfolio management, deal sourcing and management of the firm overall.
Since inception of the firm in 2001, Mr. Petty and his partners have utilized their credit oriented
investment strategy to invest profitably, building an Asia focused business that today is one of the largest credit investing firms in the region. Mr. Petty sits on the board of three portfolio
companies.
Mr. Petty’s previous experience includes senior positions of increasing responsibility at Amroc Investments LLC, Peregrine Fixed Income Ltd, and thirteen years with Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. Throughout his investment experience, Mr. Petty has been a capital committer in credit instruments from Asia to Europe including corporate bonds, loans and private placements.
Mr. Petty holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University. Mr. Petty has lived in Tokyo
and Hong Kong and currently resides in New York with his wife and three children. Mr. Petty also
serves on the board of Engenderhealth, a non-profit organization.
