Amit Gupta is a Partner at Clearwater Capital Partners and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Gupta's principal responsibilities encompass credit research, due diligence and analysis.

Prior to founding Clearwater, Mr. Gupta was Head of Asia Research at Amroc Investments LLC in Hong Kong from 2000 to 2001. From 1998 to 2000, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC in that firm's Asian Special Situations Group, located in Hong Kong, where he was involved in purchasing portfolios and single assets of consumer and corporate loans in various Asian countries. From 1996 to 1998, he worked at Peregrine Fixed Income Ltd. in Hong Kong, where he was the head of pan-Asian deal execution. Mr. Gupta began his career in 1992 with ICICI Ltd. in India, where he worked in Corporate Lending.

Mr. Gupta holds a P.G.D.M. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (1992) and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications with Honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (1989).
